Alonzo L. Clegg, Sr.

September 24, 1966 ~ June 10, 2024

Alonzo L. Clegg was born in Newburgh, NY on September 24, 1966 to Earl C. Clegg and Bobbie J. Ware.

He attended Newburgh Free Academy. He was employed by the Dutchess County ARC residing in Poughkeepsie, NY, and relocated his family and moved to Memphis, TN in the late 1990's, and was employed by Quebecor World Printing, Memphis, TN. In 2019 he moved back to Newburgh, NY. When he began suffering from his illness, he was relocated to the Grand Rehab and Nursing in Poughkeepsie, NY.

His hobby was fishing and keeping himself "GQ" down. He loved to dress to impress.

Alonzo is survived by 3 sons, Terence Campbell - Holiday (Atlanta, Georgia), Alonzo L. Clegg (Bessemer, Alabama), Christian L. Clegg (Summerville, SC); 1 Daughter, TreLonia L. Boyce (San Diego, California); grandchildren: Kareem  Kalil Holiday  ( Atlanta, Georgia), Jayden Mickel Holiday  (Atlanta, Georgia), Kaiden Larell Clegg (Memphis, TN), Cairo Nova  Lee  Larell Clegg (Poughkeepsie, NY), and Egypt Nilan Larell Clegg (Poughkeepsie, NY); siblings: Denise Clegg (Newburgh, NY), Rodney Johnson (Schenectady, NY), Angela Clegg (Schenectady, NY), Darian Clegg (Memphis, TN), Catrina Vonetta Lott (Memphis, TN), Andre Clegg (Durham, NC), Bobbet Shahna Clegg (West Palm Beach, FL), Roosevelt Clegg (Woodside, Queens, NY); a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and special  cousins: Sharon McLean "NaNa", Howard Elder, and Monique McLean.

He was predeceased by his father, Earl C. Clegg; grandfather, Alonzo Clegg; grandmother, Augusta Clegg; brother, Earl Clegg; brother, Reggie Clegg; brothers, Gary and Barry, and brothers Hubert and Herbert Clegg; and cousin/brother, Benny Clegg, of Norristown, PA.

A Celebration of Life, Birthday Celebration will take place on September 21, 2024.
