Ana Luisa Martir Montalvo

August 25, 1924 ~ December 29, 2024

The Gates of Heaven opened and welcomed a beautiful soul with tambourine and dancing when Ana Luisa Martir Montalvo entered through on December 29, 2024. She was 100 years old.

Ana Luisa Montalvo was born in Puerto Rico on August 25, 1924, to Alejandrina Martir and Emilio Perez. Orphaned at the age of 9 months, Ana was raised by her grandparents Hovita Mercado and Rufino Martir. Ana met and later married Antonio Montalvo on October 18, 1944.

Ana is survived by her husband of 80 years, Antonio Montalvo, her two children Pedro Montalvo (Luz Maria) and Lyda Montalvo-Correa (Luis). her grandchildren that she loved dearly, Luis Montalvo, Jesus Tirado Jr. (Julie), Annette Tirado-Lopez (Johnny), Pedro Montalvo (Linda), Kevin Tirado (Jeanette) and Damaris Montalvo-Pierce (Hardy), Robert Cancel, Daniel Correa (Maria) and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Ana was a lifelong member of the Church of God Central Newburgh. She was a prayer warrior that loved worshiping God with Hymns.

Visitation will be held at Brooks Funeral Home on Friday, January 3 from 4 - 7 PM. A funeral home service will take place on Saturday, January 4 at 10 AM, followed by burial at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
