Anastasia(Stacy)ElizabethClark,lifelong resident of Newburgh,entered into rest on Thursday, November 25, 2021 at her residence in Walden, NY. Anastasia wasbornon February 16,1945 in Newburgh, NY; the daughter of the late Thomas and Evelyn Barr,also of Newburgh. She was 76.
Stacy graduated from Newburgh Free Academy in 1963 and continuedher careerin the insurance business.Lateron,she obtained her real estate licensure and developed some of her closest friendships which last to this day.
On June 30, 1968 she marriedher soul mateJames E. Clark of Walden, with whom she shared a deep appreciation for antiques,early American homes and decor. In 1969,they purchased a home in the Gardnertownarea which would be theirprimaryhomestead where they wouldraise theirfamily and remain for many years. Stacy was very active in herchildren'sPTA and for many years,ran the Meadow Hill School Spring Fairwhich was a popular affair. Stacy embraced the role of mother and wife,and was very involved with day to day activities of everyone inthe family.Until the time of her passing,there werealwaysmultiple conversationsdaily with hersons and daughter. These areand always will betremendously missed. Stacyalsoloved theholidays and would decorate for daysin preparation for them and evenhelped decorate various historic buildings inthe Village of Walden.
By 1995sheand Jim were on to their next endeavor and purchased a homein Walden.Stacy enjoyedwalking theproperty with her dogs,shopping forfine clothing,andoccasionally meeting up with friends forkaraoke. Stacy's devotion toherfamily was oftheutmost importance and was alwaysready andwilling to listen; shewasn't opposed to levelling an opinion,whether solicited or not.After the death of her husband,she was never quite the same.The birth of her only grandchild, Freya,brought tremendous happiness to her heart.Stacy will be remembered for hercandidness, kindheartedness,and strong Catholic faith. It has been said "the bond between mothers and their children is one defined by love. As a mother's prayer for her children are unending, so are the wisdom, grace and strength they provide to their children." For her children, truer words could not have been spoken.
Stacy is survived by her son,Dr. Dane E. Clark,fiancée'HeidiWeaver,andtheirdaughter FreyaClark; son Brandon J. Clark; daughter Marcee E.Curtis and her husband John, all residing in Newburgh, NY. Her brotherand sister in law,DennisandMaryFranBarr from Newburgh, NY andher cousin Johnny Meyerof Carmel, NY. Additional family includemultiplenieces, nephews and cousins.
