Andrea R. Stewart

September 21, 1981 ~ November 29, 2025

Andrea Rose Stewart passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025.  Born on September 21, 1981, in Newburgh, NY, she was the beloved daughter of Robert J. Scott, Jr. and Rosa Fossella Retamozo.

A lifelong resident of Newburgh, Andrea's heart was as generous as her spirit. She was a devoted friend and family member always ready to lend a helping hand and share her culinary talents.

A proud graduate of Newburgh Free Academy 1999, Andrea pursued her passion for hairstyling specializing in hair locks at beauty school in Middletown, NY. She later embraced her role as a wonderful homemaker for her husband Chris and their three cherished sons, Ethan, Adam and Brady, who were her heart and soul. Alongside her husband Chris, she cared for her grandmother for five years until her passing in February 2025.

Andrea was a devoted member of Crossroads Assembly of God in Newburgh where her deep faith guided her life. She exemplified strength and dedication as one of God's faithful servants. We find solace in the belief that she has been joyfully welcomed by the loved ones who have gone before her into the Kingdom of God.

Survivors include her loving husband Chris Stewart; her adored sons Ethan, Adam and Brady Stewart; her father, Robert (Kevin Mazzella) Scott, Jr.; her mother, Rosa Fossella (Mario) Retamozo; her sister, Lesly (Raul Garcia) Retamozo; her nephews Andrew and Alexander Garcia; her niece, Arianna Garcia; her in-laws Timothy and Susan Stewart; sisters-in-law Monica (Ben) Meredith, Tana (Brian Stranieri) Gabriel; her Uncle, Joseph (Tina Su) Fossella; her Aunts, Ann Horton, Maria (Robert DiMarco) Dyseven, Margot (Richard) Burgess; her cousins Meghan (Mustafa) Jamal, Katelyn (Jeremy Quinn) McMahon, Alexander Fossella, Lisa (Wilson) Vataj, Nicholas Vataj, Delilah Vataj, Sean (Cindy) Burgess, Dillon Burgess, Santina Polera, Sara (Damian) Paz, Desarae Paz, (Daniel Horton, Curtis (Deborah) Horton, Chandler (Jasmine) Gabriel, Bladen Gabriel and many other family members who reside in the U.S. and Italy.

Andrea was predeceased by her maternal Grandparents, Ralph and Maria (Polera) Fossella; paternal Grandparents, Robert J. and Patricia (Mahood) Scott, Sr.; her Great Uncle and Aunt, Salvatore and Carmela Fossella; Great Uncle, Ralph Polera; Aunts, Eileen Spindler, Susan McMahan and Catherine Fossella.

A special thank you to Amira Mhmoud and Brynn Connell who have been a blessing to us all during this difficult time and for always supporting Andrea and her family.

A viewing and service will be held at Crossroads Assembly of God, 7 D'Alfonso Road, Newburgh on Saturday, December 6, from 12:00 Noon-1:30 pm.
