Angelo J. Crisci
May 27, 1941 ~ May 9, 2026
Gardiner, NY
Angelo J Crisci, of Gardiner, NY, entered into rest on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at home. He was 84 years old.
Son of the late Angelo and Nancy (Valdina) Crisci, he was born May 27, 1941 in Newburgh, NY.
Angelo was a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy, and proudly served his country in the United States Army, stationed in South Korea for 13 months.
He married Carol (Sweeting) Crisci on October 16, 1966 in St. Peters Church in Poughkeepsie. Carol survives at home. They were happily married for 59 years, after first meeting in 1962 in Washington D.C.
Angelo was a life member of Good Will Fire Dept., including his many years as an avid bowler with the fire house. Angelo was a member of Orange Lake Fish & Game, where he always entered and enjoyed many of their tournaments (and doing very well in all). Angelo and Carol were both members of Club 60 in Newburgh and enjoyed many trips with the group.
Angelo pitched fast pitch and modified softball for many years in different countries and venues, including prisons. He was very proud of his pitching career and would often reflect on it through his stories, including pitching on his son Marc’s modified team at age 75.
He is survived by his wife, Carol (of 59 years), his son, Marc and his wife, Melissa of Buffalo; his grandchildren, Spencer and Raina; and his siblings, George Crisci of Newburgh, Joe Crisci of Newburgh, and Nancy Pacella of Newburgh;
He was predeceased by his brothers, Anthony and Al A Crisci, and his sisters, Jennie Fayo and Martha Rockwell.
Angelo was a kind hearted man, who lived his life with grace and dignity. He cherished the hours he spent with his children and grandchildren.
The family extends a special thank you to Hudson Valley Hospice, Patricia Sweeting, Dan & Jen Lynn, and his twin sister, Nancy, for their loving care and support."
Visitation will be at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave, on Tuesday May 12th from 10AM to 12PM. A Funeral Home Service will begin at 12PM. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in New Windsor.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate to Hudson Valley Hospice in his memory. Donate Now.
