Anne Marie MacEntee
October 23, 1961 ~ September 4, 2024
Anne Marie MacEntee, 62, of Newburgh, NY entered into rest on September 4th, 2024 at home with her family.
Anne Marie was born on October 23rd, 1961 in Cornwall, NY to William and Anne Stankiewicz. She grew up in Newburgh with her siblings Patty, Jimmy, Joe, and Rose.
In her early 20s, she met her loving husband Mark one night after her younger brother Jimmy insisted they go out to meet some friends. It was love at first sight and they formed an instant connection. Not long after that they were engaged and they shared 38 years of marriage.
Anne Marie was a kind & compassionate person who loved the Mets, her cats, reading a good book, watching her favorite crime dramas, and sitting outside watching the birds. Her and Mark loved taking drives on the weekend or going to the local antique shops. Their home always felt warm and inviting in her presence. She was an incredibly strong woman who showed immense courage and perseverance during the difficult times, as her strong Catholic faith helped guide her through.
Anne Marie's greatest joy was becoming a mom to her daughter Faith. She was proud watching Faith grow, attending school events and basketball games, and was so happy to walk Faith down the aisle at her wedding last September.
In addition to her husband Mark, she is survived by her daughter Faith MacEntee & son-in-law Christopher Lamb; siblings, Patricia Dalton (Howie), Joseph Stankiewicz, and Rosemarie Barco (Julio); nieces and nephews Kathleen Stankiewicz, Robert Stankiewicz, Michael Stankiewicz, Jonathan Barco, Ashley Barco, William Stankiewicz, and Brianna Barker; sister-in-law Susan Spreer Stankiewicz, sister-in-law Cheryl MacEntee, aunt Elaine Aulogia, and many cousins and relatives abroad in Scotland. Anne Marie was predeceased by her beloved brother Jimmy and her loving parents, William "Bill" & Anne Stankiewicz.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, September 7th at 10am at St. Francis Church, Newburgh, NY 12550.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the ALS Association.
The family would also like to thank the nurses & staff of Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties for their kindness and compassion during Anne Marie's final journey.
