Anne V. Monahan

Anne V. (Papa) Monahan of Newburgh, NY passed peacefully and surrounded by love on December 20, 2024.

Anne was born on May 14, 1961 in the Bronx, NY to the late Nancy (McDermott) Papa and Savario (Samuel) Papa and is also predeceased by her brother, Michael Papa.

Anne was the loving and devoted mother to Kristyn (Monahan) McCarthy and is survived by her and her family - husband, Anthony McCarthy and their children, Liam and Ava McCarthy.

Anne owned and operated Hunny Bees Daycare alongside her mother, daughter and best friend, in Newburgh, NY from 1993 until 2013 and selflessly served hundreds of children and their families in our community.

Anne had the most contagious laughter and cared deeply for her friends and family. She held unwavering strength and determination and she has passed these traits down for generations. She touched the lives of so many and will be immensely missed.
