Anne M. Moriarty
May 3, 1957 - February 21, 2022
New Windsor, NY
Anne Marie Moriarty entered eternal rest on Monday, February 21st. She was 64 years old.
Anne was born on May 3rd 1957 in Huddersfield, England. She was raised in the Bronx, NY and lived in New Windsor NY. Daughter of John Mullarkey and Maureen Delee, Anne was survived by her sister, Elizabeth Smith and brother-in-law Thomas Smith of Wappingers Falls, and her brother Sean Mullarkey of Syracuse NY. Anne is survived by her three sons, Brian Moriarty of Rocky Mount North Carolina, and John Moriarty and Michael Moriarty of New Windsor NY. She leaves behind the father of her children and beloved best friend Brian Moriarty Sr. of Newburgh NY. She leaves behind her two her precious dogs, Thomas and Tucker who were by her side every minute of every day.She is also survived by her nieces and nephews Jaclyn and Scott Johnson, Anthony and Rebecca Smith and grandniece Laila Harper Smith.
Anne proudly served her hometown of New Windsor, both in profession and spirit, acting as the face of child registration for the Newburgh Enlarged City School District, a title she held for almost seventeen years. She was a member of St Francis Church and Sacred Heart Church. Anne was deeply connected to her Catholic faith, demonstrating unshakable compassion for those around her, always seeking to serve the needs of others before her own. Anne was a walking contradiction. Despite her Irish heritage, her culinary expertise was best expressed through Italian dishes. We will all miss your eggplant parmigiana. Anne was a force to be reckoned with, never accepting no for an answer and fought tirelessly to demonstrate her love to her family. Wise, sharp, and sincere, Anne was all of the above. What you saw is what you got, and the image of her strength and grace are beautiful.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 26 at Sacred Heart Church in Newburgh. We invite all whose lives have been touched by Anne, in both big and small measures. For information regarding burial services please contact any of her three sons.
