November 22, 1929 ~ January 8, 2024

Anthony Frisina of Beacon, NY passed away on January 8th, 2024 after a short illness. He was 94. Anthony was born on November 22nd, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY. He graduated High School in Ogdensburgh, NY and went on to obtain a Master's of Music Education at the Crane School of Music in Potsdam, NY. After teaching in Troy, NY for a year, Anthony married and settled in Wappingers Falls, NY, where he taught music in the Wappingers Central School District from 1954-1985. During his years teaching music at Roy C. Ketcham High School (1963-1985), Anthony taught courses ranging from select choir to music theory, was the Musical Director for several high school musicals, and even took a sabbatical leave to build a synthesizer so he could offer courses in electronic music to his students. He strived to educate and inspire his students with his wit and talent and was beloved by his students in return.

Anthony had many interests and hobbies besides music, including sailing, photography, bee keeping, wine making, furniture building, oil painting, motorcycles, astronomy, and competitive pistol shooting, just to name a few.

He is survived by his 3 children, Vincent, Theresa, and Michael.
