In Loving Memory of Anthony Longano
May 20, 1937 – December 31, 2024
Anthony Longano, 87, passed away peacefully on New Year's Eve, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on May 20, 1937, Anthony lived a life filled with joy, adventure, and love. He was a devoted husband to Rosalie, his soulmate and the love of his life. Their bond was a true testament to enduring love and partnership. Together, they built a beautiful family, and he was a proud father to his daughters, Lisa and Susan, who carry forward his legacy of love, humor, and zest for life.
Anthony was also a loving grandfather to his three grandchildren, Kristen, Gregory, and Courtney, and a proud great-grandfather to Logan, Lincoln, Emme, and Blake, who will cherish his memory forever.
Anthony had a deep appreciation for life's simple pleasures—dancing on Friday nights at the Elks Lodge, savoring his favorite treats, taking cruises, and spending summers with his cherished boat at the Jersey Shore. He embraced Florida's warmth, sunsets, and palm trees, finding peace and joy in its beauty.
Known for his sharp mind and kind heart, Anthony always took time to explain things, even if his explanations sometimes followed the "long route." A lover of road trips, he was famous for turning shortcuts into memorable adventures.
Anthony's warmth, humor, and vibrant spirit touched everyone who knew him. His love of dancing, even in unexpected places like supermarkets, is a reminder to celebrate life's little moments with joy.
Anthony is survived by his beloved wife, Rosalie; his daughters, Lisa and Susan; his grandchildren, Kristen, Gregory, and Courtney; his great-grandchildren, Logan, Lincoln, Emme, and Blake; and a legacy of love that will be carried forward by all who knew him.
A celebration of Anthony's life will be held at Brooks Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 7 from 3 - 6 PM with a prayer service taking place at 6 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Memorial, honoring his generous and joyful spirit.
He will be missed beyond words but forever cherished in our hearts.
