Arline Coffrin
December 27, 1947 ~ March 7, 2023
Arlene Coffrin ended her earthly journey at Kaplan Family Hospice located in Newburgh, NY on March 7, 2023, after a well-fought battle against Dementia. She was 75 years young.
Arlene was born on December 27, 1947 during the largest snowstorm on record. She is predeceased by her loving parents Ida and Arthur Mangini from Rye, NY.
On October 12, 1969 she married the love of her life, Robert Coffrin who she is also predeceased by.
She had several jobs throughout her lifetime, but until she had to retire to take care of her ill mother, she was the secretary to the director of Infectious Disease at Greenwich Hospital in Greenwich, CT.
Arlene and her husband Robert, until his death in 2018, were always together. They were like peanut butter and jelly, can't have one without the other. Their favorite pastimes were going to local casinos and also traveling to Vegas and Atlantic City whenever they had the opportunity.
Arlene and Robert "aka Bob" raised two wonderful children. Debbie and Kevin. They were so happy to have their son in law, John and daughter in law, Karen as a welcome addition to their family. John was welcomed to the family long before he became an "official" member in 1994 and Karen followed as an official member several years later.
The addition to the family that they cherished from the moment they found out they were going to be grandparents was their one grandson Nicholas, whose middle name was given to him as an homage to both of his grandfathers who both had the middle name of Edward.
Arlene and Robert celebrated 48 years of wedded bliss until he passed. She will be sadly missed.
Services will be private, at the convenience of the family at Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye, NY in the spring time followed by a celebration of her life for all who would like to attend. Details on the celebration will be given at a later time.
