Betty J. Punkosdy, a devoted mother and grandmother, entered eternal rest Sunday, April 26. She was 75 years old. The daughter of the late Lawrence and Lillian (Morgan) Goodrich, she was born in Newburgh, NY on August 9, 1944.
Betty loved to make people laugh, and she always made sure that all her kids and grandkids were cared for down to her last dollar. Betty is survived by her children Heinz Punkosdy of Newburgh, Brian Punkosdy of Hyde Park, NY and Stephanie Torres and husband Jeff of Coxsackie, NY; siblings Dorothy Valenza of Walden, NY, Donna Valenza and husband Chuck of Gardiner, NY, Nancy Picard of Coxsackie, Donna Goodrich and Lawrence Butch; grandchildren Becky, Anthony, Amber, Carissa, Stephanie, Ruth, Gloria and Erika; 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents Betty was predeceased by her son, Henry Punkosdy, and her sisters, Grace Powells, Shirley Parisi and Barbara Salvatore.
