Brenda Hall

Brenda Hall, a beloved mother, grandmother, partner, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2026, at the age of 66, surrounded by her family at the hospital.

Born on September 2, 1960, in Newburgh, New York, Brenda was the daughter of Robert W. Mickel and the late Anna Marie (Meade) Mickel. She took great joy in spending time with her family, and her door was always open. Those who knew her will remember the warmth and kindness that made them feel at home.

Brenda is survived by her devoted partner of 20 years, Sherman Cox, who stood by her side and helped raise her children. She is also survived by her children, Marvin (Maryann Hall), Robert (Mary Hall), and Jennifer (William Rojo).

Brenda cherished her grandchildren, Arion, Marvin, Zaisha, Jahlil, Jalen, Jazier, Justus Hall, Robert (known as Fatboy), Jishawn, Jazon Hall, Syrianna, Jamorie, and Azariah Rojo, as well as her three great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her father, Robert W. Mickel, and her sisters, Anna (John Arnold) and Irene (Charles Ayres). She was a beloved aunt to Mary, Ragina, Joleen, Jol Thornton, Tyrone, Daniel, Mary Anna, and Crystal Ayres, and to several great-nieces and great-nephews. Her dear friend Kenneth Lowers was a steadfast companion throughout her life.

Brenda was preceded in death by her mother, Anna Marie (Meade) Mickel, her brother, Robert Williams Mickel Jr., her sister, Mary Alice Mickel, and her grandson, Lil William.
