Obituary

Bridget Teresa (Gavin) Crostic, resident of Newburgh, entered into rest on Wednesday April 22, 2015, at Rosary Hill Home in Hawthorne, New York. Daughter of the late Annie (Nee) Gavin and Edmund Gavin, she was born on February 11, 1933. She was 82. Born in Glenamurra, County Mayo, Ireland, she came to the United States, and worked at Star Expansion, and E. Stanwyck Coil Co. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Newburgh. She was preceded by her loving husband of fifty-one years Frank Crostic, her brother Peter Gavin and his wife Mary, and her brother-in-law Jack Coyne. She leaves behind her daughters Sarah (Sr. Mary Faustina), Mary and her husband Paul, and her granddaughter Olivia. She also leaves behind her loving brothers and sisters, Mae Coyne, Paddy Gavin and his wife Anne, John Gavin and his wife Madge, and Francie Gavin and his wife Lucy, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. We would like to thank the Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne at Rosary Hill Home for the wonderful loving care they provided for her. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rosary Hill Home, 600 Linda Ave., Hawthorne, NY 10532. Visitations will be held from 6pm - 8 pm on Thursday April 23, 2015 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am on Friday April 24, 2015 at St. Patrick's Church, Newburgh, with burial following at Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor.
