Catherine Elizabeth Zupp Weddell, 89, of Rock Tavern, NY, passed away peacefully on February 11th, 2025, at Watercrest Senior Living Facility in Port St. Lucie, FL. Born in Walden, NY, on October 14, 1935, to the late Alvin Zupp and Edith VanKeuren Zupp, Catherine is survived by her brother Raymond Zupp and was predeceased by her brother Robert Zupp.

A graduate of Walden High School, Catherine was a devoted mother and homemaker, married 67 years to her beloved husband, Thomas David Weddell, who predeceased her in 2020. Catherine spent her adult years residing in Beaver Dam Lake, New Windsor, NY, and Rock Tavern, NY. She cherished time at her family vacation home in Sacandaga, NY, enjoying boating, waterskiing, and sunsets with her loved ones. An energetic individual, she also had a passion for snow skiing.

Catherine's artistic talents were evident in her love for sewing, quilting, and painting. Her creative spirit left a lasting impression on those around her. She is survived by her four children: Diane Knapp (predeceased by her husband Harry Knapp), Thomas Drew Weddell and wife, Michele Weddell, David Weddell and wife, Danette Weddell, and Elizabeth Tersillo and husband, Thomas Tersillo. Catherine will be fondly remembered by her ten grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Brooks Funeral Home. Visitation will take place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on February 21st, 2025, at Brooks Funeral Home, Newburgh, NY. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM on February 22, 2025, at Brooks Funeral Home.
