Charles T. Brown III, "Charlie Brown" passed away peacefully at his home in Newburgh on March 21, 2022. Charlie was born in Rochester, Minnesota to Charles T. Brown II and Diane Ribuffo Brown on September 19, 1960. After some early family travels to Germany and California, Charlie grew up in Newburgh, NY. He graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Civil Engineering. After working with several engineering firms, he started Talcott Engineering. He was a well-known and loved fixture in and around Newburgh. In his spare time he enjoyed planting and gardening with Kim--he was happy to share the fruits of their labor. He also enjoyed going to concerts and music festivals and most importantly, spending time with family and friends.
Charlie is survived by his loving partner-in-life Kimmie Doyle, her parents Irene and Al, her children Mary (m. Julio), James, Annie (fiance Bob) and grandson Felix; his siblings Paula (m. Paul), Alisa, Megan (m. Paul), Matthew (m. Dina), Andrew (m. Sara); niece Ali, nephews Jason, Erik and Scott (m. Emma), and Jasper. Pre-deceased by his parents Charles and Diane, and his dogs Rambo and Otis.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh, NY on Monday, March 28th from 4 - 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to donate in Charlie's memory to the town of Newburgh Animal Shelter, 645 Gidney Ave., Newburgh, NY 12550.
