Charles Dana "Buddy" Havner, 79, of New Windsor, New York, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2026. Born on June 15, 1947, in Smithfield, Pennsylvania, Charles lived a life defined by dedication to his family and service to his country.

A proud U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran, Charles served with honor and courage during a pivotal time in history. His unwavering commitment to his nation reflected his strength and character.

Charles was a devoted father and grandfather who treasured the moments he shared with his family. He is survived by his son Jim and daughter-in-law Amber, as well as his grandchildren Telaya and Amari and step-grandchildren Ryan, Keith, and Connor. He also leaves behind his brother Robert "Bob" Havner. 

Also survives; Step daughter Karen Crisci and husband Pete Crisci, grandchildren Brittany Bruno and husband Nick Bruno, courtney Cunningham and husband Sean Cunningham, Mandi Crisci and Carli Crisci and great grandchildren Ava Bruno, Aubree Austin and Alaina Cunningham.

Charles was predeceased by his wife Candice and siblings Lois, MaryBelle, Ellen, Thomas, Ronald, and Sam.

Charles's legacy of love and devotion will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those he held dear.
