Charles "Chuck" Sinsabaugh, 84, of Lady Lake, Florida, passed away on May 13, 2025.
Born on April 4, 1941, in Poughkeepsie, New York, Chuck was the son of the late Ralph P. Sinsabaugh and Sarah E. Sinsabaugh (née Conklin). He was a graduate of Wappingers Central School and dedicated 36 years of service to Central Hudson Gas & Electric Company before retiring.
Chuck was with the US Air Force with the Strategic Air Command from 1960-1964.
Chuck was a longtime member of St. Nicholas on the Hudson and enjoyed time spent at Whites Marina. In his leisure, he found great joy in boating, camping, golfing, and most especially in spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife and love of his life, Susan Sinsabaugh.
Chuck is lovingly remembered by his children: Matthew Sinsabaugh and his wife Mary of Poughkeepsie, NY; Leslie Bardin and her husband Tim of Pine Bush, NY; Caroline Moore and her husband Joe of Wappingers, NY; and Donald Jackson and his wife Jodi of Marlboro, NY. He is also survived by his brothers Lester Sinsabaugh of Poughkeepsie, NY, and William Sinsabaugh of LaGrangeville, NY.
His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Alan, Amanda, Nicholas, Ryan, Andrew, Jacob, Hunter, Erin, Evan, Learyn, and Samantha; as well as great-grandchildren: Liam, Amelia, & Jaxson. nieces and nephews also survive.
A life well-lived and deeply cherished by those who knew him—may his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday May 28th from 11:00am-12:00pm at Brooks Funeral Home located at 481 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh, NY 12550. A funeral service will be held at Brooks Funeral Home at 12:00pm
A burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery located at 5468 Rte 9W, Newburgh, NY 12550
In lieu of flowers the family would like to request donations be made to St. Nicholas on the Hudson 37 Point Street New Hamburg, NY 12590
