Christian Jacob Armbrister, age 8, of the Town of Newburgh, NY, gained His angel wings on September 1st, 2026, surrounded by his parents, his sister Gabby, and his grandmother, after a courageous and hard-fought battle with PPB cancer.

Born on November 13th, 2017, in Wallkill, to loving parents Christopher and Tracey, Christian brought immense joy, light, and laughter to everyone who knew him during his short time on earth.

Despite his diagnosis at the age of 3, Christian faced every treatment, surgery, and hospital stay with remarkable bravery, an unbreakable spirt, and a bright smile on his face. He loved to play Roblox and Fortnite on his iPad and showing us his favorite videos on YouTube. He had a special love for his Make-a-Wish puppy Rubble. Even though he pretended to be shy around everyone, he loved being funny and making everyone around him smile, whether it was hiding under his blanket from the nurses and doctors, or rolling his eyes at you, he had a special love for everyone.

Christian is forever cherished and missed by his parents, Christopher and Tracey, his siblings, Gabriella and Michael, his grandparents, Liza and Bruce, great-grandfather Lenny, his puppies Rubble and Coconut, and many loving family and friends. He was welcomed into Heaven by his Uncle CJ, His grandparents, Robert and Kathrine, great-grandmother Lorretta, and his first puppy Maximus.

The family wished to extend a heartfelt thank you to the dedicate teams at Boston Children’s Health Physicians, Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center for their compassionate care and support throughout Christian’s journey.

Visitation will be held at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave, Newburgh on Friday September 4th, 2026 from 4PM to 7PM. A Funeral Home Service will begin at 6:30PM.
