God took his angel on Earth, Christina (Chrissie) Christie of New Windsor, NY on Friday August 18, 2023. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. She was 74 years old.

Chrissie was born on November 26, 1948 to James and Elizabeth Mahoney on Morningside Avenue in Yonkers, NY. She attended Maria Regina High School in Hartsdale, NY were she was a baton twirler in the marching band.

She met Robert Christie in 1971 on the elevator of the NY Telephone Company in White Plains, NY. It was love at first sight. Their song was "I Got You Babe" by Sonny and Cher and they would sing it to each other whenever they heard it. They celebrated their 50 year wedding anniversary this year on March 3rd.

Chrissie started working at McDonald's in New Windsor, NY in 1979 and was an administrative assistant manager for 41 years. She developed many long lasting friendships there. She also sang in the church band with her dear friends for 40 years, 9 years at St Joseph's Parish in New Windsor, NY and 31 years at St Patricks Parish in Newburgh, NY.

Chrissie was an amazing human being. To know her was to love her. Her smile, laughter, charm and wit lit up every room and anyone's life that she entered. She enjoyed going to the casino with Bob and playing cards every Saturday night with her best friends, Sue & Artie Cassidy. She went to Ocean City, NJ every summer with her children and grandchildren.

Chrissie is predeceased by her brothers-in-law, Thomas Williamson and Anthony Christie. She is also predeceased by her nephews, Gary Williamson and Michael and Jonathan Christie. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Christie; her loving children, Keith (Leona) Christie and Colleen (Michael) Greeley; as well as her 4 grandchildren: Daniel, Jackson, Dillon and Brady. She is also survived by her 3 sisters and brother, as well as her many beloved nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Brooks Funeral Home (481 Gidney Ave, Newburgh, NY 12550). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick's Church (55 Grand St., Newburgh, NY 12550) on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 10:00 AM.
