Cortney Renee Babcock (NeNee), age 33, entered into eternal rest on December 16, 2020.
She was a graduate of Washingtonville High School and went on to earn a BA in Psychology at St. Thomas Aquinas, and an MA in Mental Health Counseling at Argosky University. She loved kayaking, music festivals and camping, especially at Herkimer, and loved driving her Mini-Cooper.
Cortney had a contagious sense of humor and will always be remembered for her vitality and her free spirit. At the time of her passing Cortney was full of optimism and enthusiasm for her future and life with Stewart Brooks.
Cortney is survived by her parents, Ken and Donna Babcock; her brother and "sisters" Brian and Caity and Chad and Jessica; her beloved niece Zoe; the love of her life Stewart Brooks; her grandparents Roger and Jean DuBois; her grandmother Kate Babcock; her kitties Bronx and Brooklyn; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. She has joined Grandpa Bob Babcock and her little niece Clara Joy Babcock in heaven.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm on Monday, December 21 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A service will be held at 10 am on Tuesday at the funeral home, with burial following in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor.
