David Dorado

February 15, 1960 ~ September 26, 2025

Westport, CT

It is with broken hearts that his family announces the passing of David Dorado, 65. He passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025, in Westport, Connecticut at home surrounded by his family.

Born on February 15th, 1960 in Brooklyn, New York, David lived a life marked by his deep love for his family and God, an unwavering sense of integrity, and a dedication to his craft.

A graduate of Wallkill High School, David went on to build a distinguished career as a highly skilled craftsman and builder. He spent the majority of his professional life as a construction superintendent, where he was consistently recognized for excellence and service in construction. His work left a lasting impact on countless projects and communities, reflecting both his technical knowledge and commitment to quality.

David was immensely proud of his Spanish lineage, being of Basque and Gallego descent, or as he coined it, a "Basquego." He was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in hunting and fishing. He was also a passionate sports fan who cheered for the Spanish National soccer team, the New York Yankees, and followed football and Formula 1 racing with great enthusiasm.

Above all else, David was a devoted family man. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Angela; his daughter Amanda Magleby and her husband Eric; his son David Dorado and his partner Lindsey; and his cherished grandchildren Mila and Dominic Magleby, who he truly adored. He is also survived by his Aunt Juanita Souto, his brother Tony Dorado (Rose) and his sister Vicki Pietrogallo (Lou), as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. His family was the center of his world, and he took great pride in their accomplishments and happiness.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Blas and Susana Dorado and in-laws, Dominick and Susan Aulogia. Their memory remained close to him throughout his life.

Those who knew David remember him as a loving husband and father, a loyal friend, and a man of strong character and will. His presence brought strength to those around him, whether through quiet support or steadfast guidance.
