Dean Wright, of Plattekill, New York, passed away on April 25, 2026, at Vassar Brothers Hospital after a long illness. He was born on August 20, 1948, in Newburgh, New York, to Elizabeth and William Wright.

Dean is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn Wright; his children, Deanna Ackerman and Christopher Wright; and his cherished grandchildren, Tyler Gaudio, Cheyanne Prudy, Nicholas Wright, Ronda Wright, and Emma Ackerman. He also leaves behind great-grandchildren Milea Radell and Theodore Oakley (stillborn), as well as his half-brother Scott Wright.

Dean had a zest for life and found joy in pursuits such as metal detecting. He also had an appreciation for the finer things in life, including high-quality televisions, trucks, and phones.
