Deborah A.
Franklin
March 23, 2016
Minister Deborah Franklin departed this life on March 23, 2016. She was born to Winifred Franklin and raised by Eleanor Harris along with Dorothy James, Gloria Wilson and Carole Robinson. She was one of four children, two sisters, Lenora A. Franklin and Denise Robin Franklin, who preceded her in death, and one brother Marcus C. Franklin. She was baptized at St. Matthews Church, Holy Communion and Holy Confirmation. She attended P.S. 167, I.S. 210 and Maxwell High School in Brooklyn, NY. Deborah never married but chose to dedicate her life to our lord and saviour Jesus Christ. She migrated from Brooklyn, NY to Newburgh, NY in 1998 where she met her pastor, Herman Hubbard who was a blessing sent to her and was a role in her spiritual journey. After many years of helping, teaching and ministering, she herself became an ordained minister. She enjoyed spending holidays with her family and friends. She was a faithful servant to the Lord, attending weekly bible study and church services. Her life was dedicated to supporting Living in Jesus Ministry Church. Minister Deborah Franklin's life is a reflection of her love and beautiful soul. She leaves to cherish her life and legacy, her two daughters and one son, Dequan Alisheen Franklin, Robin Elizabeth Jerald, and Shirlena Ann Franklin; 8 grandchildren, 1 godson, 2 nieces, 1 aunt, a host of cousins and friends; Ziada Barnes and her wonderful family, along with some of her best friends of Living in Jesus Ministry Church who held a special place in her heart. The family would like to express sincere appreciation for the many kind and beautiful expressions of sympathy and love shown during our time of bereavement. Visitation will be held from 10 am -11 am on Wednesday, March 30 at Living in Jesus Ministry Church, 119 South St., Newburgh, with a service following at 11 am.
