Deborah DeSantis Marchese

July 22, 1954 ~ December 16, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Deborah "Debbie" Marchese of New Windsor, NY.  Debbie entered eternal life on December 16, 2025, she was 71 years old.

Debbie was born on July 22, 1954 in Putnam, Connecticut. She was the daughter of Tito and Jeanne DeSantis, Jr.  Debbie grew up in Marlboro, NY and graduated from Marlboro High in 1972. After High School, Debbie pursued a career in cosmetology and opened her own salon, "The Hair Den".  Throughout her life, Debbie had passion for cosmetology, fashion and design, and retail sales.  Debbie met her late husband, Franco Marchese in 1988 and within a few years had two children.  Debbie was an extremely devoted wife and mother and always made her children her top priority.  Debbie took great pride in creating and decorating a beautiful home for her family, cooking delicious meals every night, and ensuring that she instilled great values in her children.  Her children loved her very much.  Debbie was also a great support to her husband, Franco, and was proud to assist him in operating their businesses, UpSkate Roller Rink, The Hudson Valley Antique Center, and Avere la Meglio Restaurant for many years.  As time went on, Debbie became even closer to her Catholic faith and became a Catechism teacher at St. Mary's Church in Marlboro, NY. Debbie was very talented and enjoyed painting and crafting in her free time.  She also enjoyed taking shopping trips around town with her mom; she loved shopping at Adams Fair Acre Farms and Michael Crafts.  At home, Debbie loved taking care of her special fur baby, Sophia Maria, and she enjoyed drinking French, rose wine.  Debbie was very proud of her Italian heritage and her DeSantis family name.  After retirement, Debbie did enjoy her part-time job at Il Figlio Restaurant in Fishkill, NY where she loved taking care of both old and new friends. Debbie will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Deborah is survived by her mother, Jeanne DeSantis, Marlboro, NY, her daughter, Daniella Marchese, Detroit, MI, her son Antonio Marchese, New Windsor, NY, her brothers Tito DeSantis III, Dante DeSantis (Jennifer) Marlboro, NY, Sister-in-law, Maria Barretta (Salvatore) Whitestone, NY, Brother-in-law Andrea Marchese (Concetta) Borgetto, Sicily, Best Friend and first cousin, Pia Antinori (John) Marlboro, NY, Special Aunts Ann DeSantis and Marlene Berkowitz DeSantis, Nieces Olivia Lynn DeSantis, Teresa Pezzino, Diane Pezzino-Mavridis, Teresa Marchese; nephews, Salvatore Barretta, Antonio Barretta, Antonio Marchese, and Giuseppe Marchese, her very special fur baby, Sophia Maria, and many other extended family and dear friends.
