Doloris Gutcheus
April 15, 1931 - November 28, 2023
Doloris was born in Savilton, NY on April 15th, 1931 to the late Edna Gutcheus.
She worked for the New York Telephone Company as an operator for local calls, Stranded Winding Co. and J H Smith until retiring.
Doloris was a member of Moulton Memorial Baptist Church and sang in the choir. She participated in Beta Eta group and was the "Sunshine Lady" who sent birthday cards and special occasion greetings to the members of the group. Doloris faithfully continued this position even as her health began to fail.
Doloris leaves behind her cousins Elin Walsh and husband Bill Walsh of Colorado, Karen McEnany-Phillips and husband Jim Phillips of Florida and Robert Gutcheus with wife Naomi Gutcheus of Newburgh, as well as many friends from New Windsor and the church family.
Down thru the years she had several cats that she loved, but she did have one she especially liked and that was Mischief.
A special thank you to her health care aid, Elena, who took exceptional care of Doloris for many years. She went above and beyond to assist her and was a valued friend.
A brief visitation service will take place Monday, December 4th, at Moulton Memorial Baptist church at 10:30 AM. A funeral service will take place at 11 AM, with burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
