Donna Marie Highland-Shafranek, 59, passed away on Good Friday 04/7/23 peacefully surrounded by her loved ones at home. Donna was born February 2nd 1964, To Donald & Gerri Highland.
Donna was a charitable gentle loving soul who loved traveling, Disney, and spending time with loved ones.
In November 1999, Donna found her soulmate best friend and partner in crime Kenneth Walters. The two of them created a loving, happy, prosperous life for the last 23 years.
Donna worked at Adams Fairacres Farm in Newburgh, NY for the past 16 years. Many of her co-workers became family. Donna looked forward to work every day to see her work family and regular customers that brought her cheer and joy. Last Summer after a shortterm disabilitywith 15 rounds of radiation she continued at Adams Part time as a cashier .
Donna leaves behind her sons Christopher Shafranek, Kyle & (Logan) Shafranek, her grand-daughters Giavanna Marie & Brooklyn Leigh; her sister Deborah; her 3 nephews; along with many friends.
She had lost her battle to pancreatic cancer after 2 years.Donna will ALWAYS be remembered for her caring, loving gentle soul.
Donna had mentioned that In Lieu of Flowers she would prefer a donation to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 11 from 5 P. M - 8 P. M. with a service at 7:30 P.M.
