Edith F. Birch

April 15, 1940 ~ February 3, 2025

Edith "Edie" Birch of Newburgh, NY passed away peacefully on February 3, 2025.

Born in Cornwall, NY, she resided for most of her life in Newburgh with her husband and three children. Edie was an avid Bingo player and loved her scratch-offs. Everyone knew her as "Mom".

She is survived by her husband, Harry; children, Roger Davis, Tracey (Dave) Hughes, and Harry (Jennifer) Birch Jr.; grandchildren, David (Yanitza) Hughes, Jennifer (Joe) Way, Matthew (Sabrina) Hughes, Ashley Hughes, Harry Birch III, Jessica Birch, Joseph Birch, and Daniel Birch; ten great-grandchildren; her loving nieces and nephews; as well as many others who she and Pop adopted along the way.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Edie's name to the Hudson Valley SPCA.

Visitation will be held at Brooks Funeral Home on Thursday, February 6 from 4 - 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Church on Friday, February 7 at 10 AM, followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery.
