Edmond Joseph Sharpe Jr.

September 2, 1938 ~ June 25, 2025

Edmond J. (Ned) Sharpe Jr, 86 yrs old, a lifelong resident of Newburgh, NY passed away peacefully on June 25, 2025. Born on September 2, 1938, Ned was the son of the late Edmond Sr. and Catherine (Ackley) Sharpe. He was predeceased by his brother Robert and sister Barbara. He was a proud graduate of St. Patrick's High School in Newburgh and went on to earn a bachelor's degree from Holy Cross college in Worchester, Ma. Ned dedicated his professional life as a Social Security claims representative in Newburgh. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart church.

He will be dearly missed and remembered always for his dry sense of humor, jokes that he told and his loving presence in the lives of those who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved sister Patricia (John) Pawliczak, and two cherished nieces Katie Pawliczak, Sarah (Craig) Vacek and great-nephew Arlo and various cousins. Ned was also a very avid pet lover having many cats over his lifetime

A visitation will be held on Tuesday July 1st from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Brooks Funeral Home located at 481 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh, NY 12550.

A Mass of the Christian burial will be held at Sacred Heart Church at 10:00am on July 2nd located at 301 Ann St, Newburgh, NY 12550.

A burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery located at 304 Walsh Ave, New Windsor, Ny 12553.
