Edward William Diller

June 28, 1947 – June 5, 2026

Edward William “Eddie” Diller, Sr. age 78, passed away Friday, June 5, 2026. 

A devout public servant, Eddie was a veteran of the United States Army where he served as a Private during two tours in the Vietnam War. Eddie moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina from Newburgh, New York, his birthplace. Eddie was very proud of his service in the military and the opportunity to serve his nation as a soldier in Vietnam. 

He was predeceased by his parents, Edward A. and Congetta Orsino Diller, and a sister Congetta “Connie” Diller. Survivors include his two sons, Edward Diller Jr. of Wallkill, NY, and George (Traci) Diller of Kingston, NY; two granddaughters Gabriella and Madison Diller; two sisters, Jean Tallarico of Lady Lake, FL and Margo Sarvis of Newburgh, NY; a brother, Terry “Chip” (P.J.) Diller of Pemberton, NJ; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. 

The family will gather to lay Eddie to rest with formal military honors on Monday June 15th at 11:00am at Calvary Cemetery in New Windsor. 

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in Eddie’s memory to your local Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) post.
