Elisa Zaffarese

February 5, 1958 ~ January 6, 2026

Elisa Zaffarese, 67, of Newburgh, NY, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026.

Elisa was a devoted wife, stepmother, sister, and beloved Nanalee who was deeply loved by her family. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren, Abby, Hailey, Madi, Liam, and Brody, lovingly nicknamed her "Skittles". Elisa especially loved spending time with her grandson Liam, listening to Pink Floyd, going to yard sales, and teaching him how to crochet. She will be remembered for the meaningful relationships she built and the love she shared with those closest to her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Gerald Zaffarese; her stepchildren, whom she loved as her own, Nikki Finnegan and her husband Joe, and Cory Zaffarese and his wife Karlene; her mother, Zosh Colomore; her stepmother, Pauline Colleluori; her brothers Joseph Colleluori and his wife Gina and their children Julia and Melissa, Daniel Colleluori and his wife Kathy and their children Vaughn, Leah, and Lucas, and Robert Colleluori and his husband Alan; her sister Lesley Smith; and her niece Christine and nephew Danny, all of whom she held close to her heart.

Elisa was predeceased by her father, Rocco Colleluori, and her stepdaughter, Tricia Zaffarese.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance on Friday, January 9th, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, at Brooks Funeral Home, located at 481 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh, NY 12550.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Elisa's name to The National Breast Cancer Foundation ( https://www.nationalbreastcancer.org/ ) in memory of her stepdaughter, Tricia Zaffarese.
