Elizabeth Audrey Mezzio

April 28, 1943 ~ December 13, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Audrey (Clark) Mezzio of Newburgh, NY, on December 13, 2025, at the age of 82. Audrey was born on April 28, 1943, in Amsterdam, NY to Francis and Monica (Kennedy) Clark.

Audrey is survived by her two children, Michael Mezzio and Dana Johnson (Tommy) and her four grandchildren; Thomas, Matthew, Elle and Sofia. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Anne Clark, nephew John Clark and niece Mary (Katie Clark) Sinnott.

Along with her parents, Audrey is reunited in passing with her husband Michael Mezzio, beloved brother John Clark and sister Diana Powers.

Audrey had a fulfilling career working at Orange County BOCES, Castle Point Veteran's Hospital and USMA at West Point. Audrey enjoyed spending time with her family and friends—especially the "Golden Girls". Audrey was known as Nana to the children in the neighborhood before she had grandchildren of her own. She was everyone's Nana and will be missed by many.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 17 from 4pm-7pm at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh, NY 12550. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10am on Thursday, December 18, at St. Patrick's Church, 55 Grand Street, Newburgh NY, followed by burial at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 5468 Rt. 9W, Newburgh.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated and caring staff at Woodland Pond New Paltz and Hudson Valley Hospice. Special thanks for their compassionate care.
