Eric K. Munkelt

December 1, 1955 ~ January 8, 2024

Eric Munkelt peacefully passed away on January 8 after a long struggle with pulmonary fibrosis. He was surrounded with love from his wife of 42 years Joanne, sons Joshua and daughter in law Chelsea, son Justin, son Daniel and daughter in law Rebecca.

He was a loving husband, father, Pop to his 5 grandbabies, brother, and uncle. Those that knew him well saw past his crusty exterior to the love inside. He will be sorely missed.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the K9 's for Warriors charity at k9sforwarrior.org; or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital at stjudes.org.

The memorial service will be held on Friday, January 12 from 4pm to 7pm at Brooks Funeral Home at 481 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh, NY.

He is breathing easy now. Let's all take a deep breath in his honor and with love.
