April 2, 1929 ~ March 4, 2025

Eugene Eagen, Sr., 95 of Millsboro, DE, passed away at home on Tuesday, March 4 surrounded by loving family.

Eugene was born on April 2, 1929 in Port Jervis, NY to John and Marion (Robinson) Eagen, and was raised in a Catholic orphanage with his twin sister.

A big part of our world is now gone, but the memories we shared will remain with us forever. You were our pillar of strength and our biggest fan. Although it is difficult to bid farewell, we can all take comfort in knowing that you are no longer in pain or suffering. You have joined Gram, which was your ultimate wish. We will deeply miss you, but the cherished memories you left us will be treasured always.

He is survived by his children: Annie Coykendall (and husband, Art Coykendall), Jean McGowan (and husband, Dave McGowan Sr.), Eugene Eagen Jr. (and wife, Debbie Eagen), Debbie Gordon (and husband, Gene Gordon); eleven grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Theresa; his mother and father; one brother, John; and five sisters: Pearl, Marion, Millie, Seal, and twin sister Eugena "Dolly".

Visitation will be held at Brooks Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 11 from 4 - 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Church on Wednesday, March 12 at 10 AM followed by burial at Woodlawn Cemetery.
