Evelyn Sickler

Evelyn Sickler, 90 years young, passed away in her family home in New Windsor, NY on July 19th, 2024.

Evelyn was born in Manchester, England to William and Evelyn Greenfield. Evelyn was the last surviving sibling of her brothers and sisters Irene, Chris, Jack, and Bob. Evelyn was a homemaker who always gave back to her community by volunteering her time at 4H and Hospice of Orange County.

On March 7, 1959, in Newburgh, Evelyn married the love of her life, Irving M. Sickler. Evelyn and Irving made the most of their married years traveling, listening to Frank Sinatra, and enjoying one another's company.

Evelyn and Irving expanded their family while residing in Arizona, with the birth of their daughter, Elizabeth, in 1968 and the birth of their son, Erik, in 1970. Evelyn and Irving dedicated their lives to providing a life filled with travel, laughter, and love for their children.

Evelyn is predeceased by her husband Irving (1927-1989). Evelyn is survived by her children Erik Sickler and his wife Lisa, Elizabeth Bostick and her husband Herbert. Grandchildren: Allyson Antonacci and her husband Kris, Erik Jr., and his girlfriend Victoria, Isabella Jacks and her husband Christopher, Sonia and her husband Shannon, and Monica and her husband Christian. Evelyn is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.

Evelyn Sickler leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and strength… she did it her way.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan County and the Alzheimer's Association.
