Fernando "Feli" Diaz Jr. , of the Town of Newburgh, Project Manager for KPMG in New Jersey and a 13 year resident of the area, died May 2, 2013. He was 41. Son of Fernando Diaz and Mirela Perez, he was born January 23, 1972 in Manhattan, NY. He married Elizabeth Diaz on August 15, 1997 in Yonkers, NY. Fernando graduated from Kennedy High School and attended Mercy College. As a child he was a member of Our Lady of Mercy, and locally he attended Sacred Heart Church and St. Mary's Church in Newburgh. He proudly served his country in the US Navy from 1991-1993. Fernando was a caring and loving son, brother, husband and father who loved his three children Brandon, Christian and Ryan. We love you and you will forever live in our hearts. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Diaz, at home; his three sons, Brandon Justin Diaz, Christian Jarred Diaz and Ryan Julian Diaz of the Town of Newburgh; and his siblings, Felicita Maria Polanco and Steve Diaz. Visitation will be held from 4pm - 8pm on Monday May 6, 2013 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at Sacred Heart Church located at 301 Ann Street Newburgh, NY 12550, with Father Bill Scafidi officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Diaz Family.
