Frank T. Pavlik
April 17, 2024 ~ September 9, 2024
New Windsor, NY
Our loving father Frank Pavlik was called home on Monday September 9, 2024. He was 100 years old.
He was born on April 17th, 1924, in Newburgh, NY. He was the son of Stephen and Marie Virkoc Pavlik.
He was married to "The love of his life" Barbara Pavlik on August 29, 1953, at St. Francis Church in Newburgh.
He worked as a printer for National Biscuit Company in Beacon N.Y. for 40 years. He also owned an apartment house in the city of Newburgh taking care of 5 apartment dwellings single handedly. He worked very hard to provide for our family. He always made time for his family and friends, giving a helping hand to everyone.
He and mom loved to travel, also camping was a fun time for them. Cross-country skiing was a sport they both loved! He bought himself a canoe and a small sailboat. He was a self-taught sailor. He loved sailing on the Hudson River and Beaver Dam Lake. He became very interested in old radios and acquired quite a few of them. He loved working with his hands, always wanting to know how things worked.
He proudly served in the Army as an Aviation Engineer in World War 2. He was a member of the Catholic War Veterans.
Pop "you are my Hero" you will be greatly missed by all!!
He is survived by his daughter Susan Sylvester, his two sons Thomas Pavlic and David Pavlik. His granddaughter Carolyn and husband James Rosanthal, and his grandson Mark Pavlik.
