Fransisca "Quica" Chavez, a vibrant and loving mother, passed away on October 22, 2024, at St. Luke's Hospital in Newburgh. She was 91 years old, just a few days shy of her 92nd birthday.

Born on October 25, 1932, in Carichi, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Concepcion Chavez and Aurora Molinar, Quica was a guide of love and warmth throughout her life. Known for her radiant smile and thoughtful nature, she brought joy to everyone around her.

Quica is survived by her nine beloved children: Yolanda, Guadalupe, Socorro, Antonio, Enriqueta, Manuel, Ramona, Victor, and Armando Dominguez. She cherished her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with her dear nieces, nephews, and especially her beloved bebesitas.

Predeceased by her husband, Jesus Manuel Dominguez, as well as her parents and siblings, Quica's legacy of love, family and faith will continue to inspire all who knew her.

A devoted and religious person, Quica found happiness in the simple joys of life, including coloring, watching cooking shows, playing with her grandchildren and spending quality time with her family. A smiling, charismatic diva who loved to dress well and share news from the "pajarito." She would never say goodbye without giving you the bendicion, a warm hug and a kiss, making each goodbye feel like an everlasting promise of love. Her thoughtful spirit and unwavering faith created a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her. She had always said "que diosito te de mas para que me des mas." As we remember her today, let us strive to embody her belief that love and blessings multiply when shared to create a legacy of generosity in her honor.

Visitation will be held at Brooks Funeral Home on Sunday, October 27 from 1 - 4 PM. A graveside service will take place at Calvary Cemetery on Monday, October 28 at 11 AM.
