FredericD. Kullman, Jr., a long-time resident of Newburgh, NY, entered into rest on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at the age of 86.
Born in Newark, NJ to Mr. and Mrs. FredericD. KullmanSr, Fred attended high school in Maplewood, NJ and college in Newark, NJ where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.Fred proudly served in the US Army and was stationed in Bad Kissingen, Germany, where he met his wife, Maria Dorothea (Doris), and together they celebrated their 60thwedding anniversary this past September.He had a long and enjoyable career as an insurance agent, serving mainly commercial clients.
Fred adored his family, had a soft spot in his heart for his grandchildren and enjoyed hearing about and celebrating all their accomplishments.Fred truly lived life to the fullest and his great sense of humor and quick wit were enjoyed by his family and many friends.He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed fishing, the New York Yankees, the New York Giants and, especially golf; Fred served as handicap chairman at the local country club; won many golf tournaments over the years and scored the elusive hole in one.Fred also nearly shot his age with a score of 77 when he was 76.
Fred is survived by his loving wife, Doris, of Newburgh, NY; daughter, Elizabeth A. Kullman Alibhai (Feisal), ofNJ; son, F. Daniel Kullman III (Carla), ofCA; and grandchildren, Katherineand William; nephew, Jamie Pasman, of MA; nieces Suzanne Pasman of CA and Caroline Pasman Craig of CA; grandnieces, Hannah Pasman, Olivia Pasman and Catherine Craig, and grand nephew, Tristram Craig; as well as many friends.He was predeceased by his sister, Ellen Jane Pasman of FL.
A private funeral service will be held at St. Patrick's Church in Newburgh, NY at 10 AM on Saturday, February 20.A memorial service and gathering of friends and family to celebrate Fred's life will be held on a later date.
