Frederick F. Branca, "Fred", of Plattekill, NY, a self-employed contractor and 37 year area resident, entered into rest on Thursday, August 25, 2016. He was 89. Son of the late Frances and Marietta (Perri) Branca, he was born February 24, 1927 in Yonkers, NY. He married his loving wife Filomena (Galotti) Branca on January 14, 1951 in Mount Carmel Church in Yonkers. Filomena survives at home. Fred was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School in Yonkers, NY, Class of 1942. He proudly served our country in the US Air Force from 1945-1949 throughout Europe. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and will be missed for his warmth, humor, and generosity. In addition to his wife Filomena, he is survived by his children, Patricia LoBue and husband Vinny of Yonkers, Linda Branca and fiancé Jimmy of Yonkers, Barbara Branca and fiancé Tim of Scarborough, Ben Branca and wife Wendy of Highland, and Fred Branca Jr. and wife Jeannie of Patterson; grandchildren, Christina, Philip and Vincent LoBue, Carmine and Lisa Suraci, Aaron Lynch, Jesse Timm, Nicole, Emily and Brant Branca; and great-grandchildren, Joshua, Victoria, Jessie and Olivia Timm, and Patricia and Ariana LoBue. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his beloved grandson, Clinton Lynch.Visitation will be held from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm on Wednesday, August 31 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 1:00 pm on Wednesday at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Plattekill. Burial will be private.
