Gerald R. Post "Jerry", of Wallkill, a bricklayer for BAC Local 5 and lifetime resident of the area, entered into rest on Thursday, October 13, 2016. He was 51. The son of Lloyd and Joan (Bell) Post, he was born April 21, 1965 in Newburgh. Jerry was a hard worker, a great friend, and a jack-of-all-trades. He was a car enthusiast and had many talents. He loved to travel and his great sense of humor made him loved by all. Jerry was devoted to his dogs Bam-Bam and Roxy. Jerry is survived by the love of his life and best friend, his wife Monica, at home; his in-laws George and Delores Kissam of New Smyrna Beach, FL; brother and sister-in-law Michael and Millie Kissam; his mother, Joan Post; his siblings, Brenda Post Schaefer, Lloyd Post Jr., and Mark Post; and nieces and nephews Tayler and Michael Kissam; Ryan and Nicholas Post, Keith Trosclair Jr., Kristy Degroat, Joseph Trosclair and Frank Burns. He was predeceased by his father, Lloyd Post; and his beloved dogs Buddy and Pebbles. Visitation will be held from 6-9pm on Monday, October 17 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh, with a service at 8:30pm.
