He worked for Ford Motor Company in Mahwah, NJ for over 20 years.  John retired from Burns and Roe in 2000.

He married Antoinetta Guerriero in 1961 in Mugnano del Cardinale and brought her back to Newburgh. They raised two children together, Anna Guerriero Koptula,  and John Guerriero. His siblings were Aniello, Filomeno, Simone, Antonio, and Carmella.   He is survived by his wife Antonietta, daughter Anna, son John and his wife Meagan, grandchildren Ash, Lincoln, John, and Eli, brother Simone and his wife Maryanne, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He is predeceased by his siblings Aniello, Filomeno, Antonio, and Carmella, and his parents Nunzio and Maria.

John enjoyed hunting, fishing, nature, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends.  He would love telling many heart felt and funny stories.  Everyone loved John.  He had a ready and bright smile.  John would go out of his way to help family and friends with his construction skills, wisdom, and humor.  He was a hardworking man and was proud of his family's success.
