Gloria Jean Mallory, "Mama G", age 79, entered into rest on Thursday, April 1, 2021 in Putnam County Hospital. The daughter of the late Kenneth Mallory Sr and Lucille Mallory, she was born May 30, 1941 in Wappingers Falls, and was raised in Hyde Park, NY.
Gloria attended New Paltz College, and was employed with the Hotel industry for many years. She enjoyed writing, cooking, shopping, and fashion
She is survived by her seven children: Kevin Mallory, Cynthia Mallory, Michael McGuire and Spouse Joanne Stevens, Kim McGuire-Fitzgerald & Spouse Dennie Fitzgerald, Tammy McGuire-Spooner, Tara Melvin and Tanisha Melvin, and Marchietta Green (like a daughter); twelve grandchildren: Omeka Mallory, Odasia Ricks, Jamar Mallory, Gloria Miller, Qwaneisha Hamilton, Zahajah McGuire, Aiden Barthelus, Demaris McGuire, Oscar Spooner, Moses Khan, Qaadir Smith, Ghamani Melvin; a host of great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and cousins; her sister, Darlene Mallory and brother, Jimmy Mallory. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by Kenneth Mallory (brother), David Mallory (brother), Wilma Mallory (sister-in-law), Janet Mallory (sister), Russell Mallory (brother), Barbara Mallory (sister), and Demaris McGuire (grandson).
Memorial visitation will be held privately for immediate family on Saturday, April 10, 2021. Due to Covid-19, services will be private; a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations in memory of Gloria may be made to the American Heart Association, www.heart.org.
