Gloria B. Pulz
January 9, 1933 ~ April 2, 2024
Heaven received another angel.
Gloria Pulz (Nana Banana) passed away at home with family beside her.
Gloria was born on January 9, 1933 in Brooklyn, New York to Theodore and Fay (Morowitz) Waldman. She was one of five children. In high school Gloria was an avid softball player. She married William Pulz on July 4, 1953 in St. Clemens Roman Catholic Church. They lived in Long Island until 1965 when they moved to Newburgh with their two children, William (Billy) and Jeanmarie. They met a wonderful group of people through Sacred Heart School and Sacred Heart Parish. They spent countless years having great times, and Gloria learned how to make a great Italian sauce.
Over the years, Gloria became an active member of the Catholic Daughters of America, and again met a number of friends and was very involved in all of the charities. She was a dedicated Yankees fan, even writing Joe Torre about his pitching (but never got an answer). If she didn't watch the game, she taped it to watch the next day.
Gloria is survived by her daughter, Jeanmarie; four grandchildren: Brent and his wife, Jennifer of Myrtle Beach, Jamie and her husband, Anthony of New Windsor, Kristi and Vince of Conway, SC, and Tyler of Cary, NC; her loving great-grandchildren, who were adored the most: Mikaylin, Trevor, Jakob, Parias, Lauren, Xavier, Alaynah, and Tobias; nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews; and the family dog, Blue, her best friend. She is predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Bill; her son, William; her sister, Rita; and her three brothers, Sidney, Donald, and Freddy.
Visitation will be held at Brooks Funeral Home on Sunday, April 7 from 1 - 4 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church on Monday, April 8 at 10 AM, followed by burial at Woodlawn Cemetery.
