Helen M. Osborn

May 25, 1931 ~ May 20, 2024

Helen Osborn of the Town of Newburgh peacefully passed away on May 20th 2024 in the house her loving husband built for her. Helen was the daughter of Peter and Mary (Johnson) Guarino. She was born on May 25th 1931 in Middletown NY. She was the oldest of four children. She grew up with three brothers Frank, Peter and Mickey.

She married her sweetheart, Robert "Bob" Osborn in October of 1956 and moved into the home they built where they resided for the remainder of their lives. They raised four daughters; Cathy (Tim), Lori (Bob), Judy (Joe) and Shari. Family was most important to Helen and Bob and through their efforts they created a compound of adjacent homes where three of their four daughters and nine of their fifteen grandchildren grew up. Known as Nana or Grandma she provided a place where they could always come for a hug or something to eat.

She was blessed to see her grandchildren become parents. She was Great Grandma to eight great grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, two brothers, thirteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Bob, her brother Peter and grandchildren Robbie Shaffer and Beckett Osborn-Carroll.

In accordance with her wishes there will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Francis of Assisi Church on Thursday May 30, 2024 at 10AM, where she and Bob were faithful parishioners.
