Helen Mary O'Shea, 90, a lifelong resident of Newburgh, entered into rest Monday, May 21, 2018. The daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Vandermark, she was born May 12, 1928 in Newburgh. Helen was a devout Catholic who served the Oblate Fathers. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be deeply missed. She is survived by her sons, Kevin O'Shea and Richard O'Shea of Newburgh NY; her siblings John Vandermark and Regina Zamenick; grandchildren Richard MacFarland, Colleen Rogalovich, Heather Catala, Kevin O'Shea Jr, Patrick O'Shea Jr, Amanda O'Shea and Lyndsey Mawe; great grandchildren Anais Catala, Eve Catala, Gavin Rogalovich, Grace Rogalovich, Eoin Mawe. In addition to her husband Patrick she was predeceased by her son, Patrick O'Shea, daughters Colleen MacFarland and Karen O'Shea, and sister, Elizabeth Stoddard.Visitation will be held from 11 am - 12:30 pm on Friday, May 25 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh, with a mass following at 1 pm at Our Lady of the Lake, Newburgh. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor.
