Herminio Domingo Coca, 54, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2023.
Herminio was born October 12, 1968 in Brooklyn, New York. He has been called by many names over the years - Spanky and Frank to name a few but most important friend and papi. A hard worker and dedicated father who always put others first above himself with the purest intentions. A loving and caring soul with a passion for cooking that was almost palpable. He was always stressing the importance of healthy living with clean food and water. Even going so far as to grow a lot of his foods in his greenhouse. He was very proud of all his accomplishments like owning many businesses throughout his life including Brother Bruno's in Vails Gate, NY for over 13 years. His greatest accomplishment by far though were his children. He always wanted a large family and he took his role as a father very seriously. Making sure they were always cared for and always knew were loved. Always positive and reminding those close to him one way or another to not forget about your spiritual well-being along with your physical. Gentle and patient yet strong and determined. Herminio's sense of humor and zest for life will be greatly missed. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 4-7 PM at Brooks Funeral Home in Newburgh, NY.
He is predeceased by his father Domingo H. Coca. He is survived by his mother Maria Vega, sisters Katherine Coca, Zeyra (Luis) Couceiro, Karim Chadwick, brothers Domingo (Amy) Coca, Sidney Coca, Andrew Rosa, and children Gabriel Coca, Ahrian Coca, Viansee Coca, Jhavon Coca, Imani Coca, and Kenji Coca.
