Obituary

James G. Sinclair
January 2, 1957 ~ September 4, 2022
Jim Sinclair born January 2nd 1957 in Brooklyn New York, left us with heavy hearts, tons of cherished memories, and too many words unsaid, on September 4, 2022 at the age of 65 in his home. Jim spent his youth in 'the city' and the stories we could tell are those of legend. Jim would later move upstate, where he resided in Walker Valley for a time. He had some fond memories of his years there, no doubt he turned that small town upside down for a while. Jim eventually settled in Newburgh NY, where he would amass a colossal family of friends through his kind, boisterous personality and unwavering dedication to helping others. Jim spent hours with friends, spreading love and acts of kindness, he enjoyed fishing in the Hudson, making people laugh, and those darn plaid shirts. By trade Jim was a councilor of the foul mouthed unconventional sort, and a true ride or die confidante. He had a doctorate in smack talking and a masters in story telling from university of holy heck I can't believe you did that. He was a licensed straight shooter, an accumulator of experiences, master of the culinary arts, world's best Chinese food chef(as though he was born in a kitchen in Chengdu), and most importantly a beloved member of the most incredible community of supportive, caring, true friends.
Jim was predeceased by his loving parents, his cherished sister, his brother-by-another/mentor/friend/all around incredible human being Roberto Romero, and his loyal canine snack buddy--whose obesity he directly caused--Emperor Chow. Jim is survived by roll dog, roommate, brother and friend friend Ken, chop buster/guiding light Joey, hard yet loving Don, quirky but caring Walter, sagacious Ernesto, generous and fun Gary, lovely and strong Julie, his favorite artist Bella, his go to guy for DIY Mike, his sister-wife/kitchen companion/angry lady who is waiting for the bathroom Kaylyn, and his closest most treasured loved ones Ryan, Brian, Bob, Laura, Anthony, Mark, Vinny and many more. A memorial
will be held at Saint Andrew's Church in Beacon, NY from 3-5pm on Sunday September 18th. All are welcome.
