Janet C. Sullivan

April 18, 1935 ~ March 13, 2026

Janet C. Sullivan, 90, of New Windsor, New York, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion to her family.

Born on April 18, 1935, in Paterson, New Jersey, she was the daughter of William and Dorothy Durner. On April 13, 1957, she married the love of her life, Raymond Sullivan. Together they built a life centered on family and lasting love until his passing on March 16, 2005.

Janet was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Sullivan; her grandson, Daniel Sullivan; and her loving sister, Dorothy Wills.

She is survived by her four children: William Sullivan and his wife Linda; Laurie Sullivan; James Sullivan and his wife Julia; and Leann Coyle and her husband Kevin.

Janet was a cherished grandmother to Jodi, Ryan, Jennifer, Branden, Eric, Patrick, Brendan, and Ronan, and a proud great-grandmother to three great-grandchildren. She is further survived by several nieces and nephews and her cousin, Audrey Planer.

Janet worked for many years as a self-employed beautician, as well as an Avon and Welcome Wagon representative, where she enjoyed meeting and connecting with members of her community. She was a member of Leptondale Bible Church and shared her faith as a Sunday school teacher, finding great joy in helping others.

She loved gardening and treasured time spent with her family, especially during holidays and gatherings. Janet was known for her laughter, which brought warmth and happiness to those around her.

She will be deeply missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her love, laughter, and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday March 17, 2026 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave, Newburgh from 11AM to 1PM. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh.
