Jennifer "Jen" Ann O'Beirne, of Newburgh, a lifetime area resident, entered into rest Thursday, November 29, 2012 in St. Luke's Hospital, Newburgh. She was 43. Daughter of Stephen and Janice (Stanwyck) O'Beirne, she was born July 22, 1969 in Cornwall, NY. Jen was a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy; Mount St. Mary College in Newburgh, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing; and Russell Sage College in Troy, NY, earning her Masters as a Family Nurse Practitioner (F.N.P.). She worked for a private medical practice in the Albany area. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Newburgh and a member of New York State Professional Nurses Association. A talented singer, she was proud to perform at Lincoln Center in New York City. Jen will be remembered as a sweet, loving, caring person, and will be dearly missed. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister, Andrea Landolfa and her husband David; her brother, Kevin O'Beirne and his wife Maureen; nieces and nephews, Chelsea, Sean and Matthew Landolfa and Brendan O'Beirne; predeceased by grandparents, Stephen and Mary O'Beirne and Wilma Stanwyck Brown and Stanley Stanwyck, and great aunt and uncle, Virginia and Nicholas Stanwyck. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 pm on Monday, December 3 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, December 4 in St. Patrick's Church, Newburgh, with Father Fernando Hernandez officiating. Entombment will follow in Cedar Hill Mausoleum, Newburgh.
